This course is student centered in that each student designs their own course of study, supported by the curriculums developed for the discipline they choose. Creative problem solving and skill are both emphasized.
For High School students developing a portfolio, the course allows them to supplement their public school art programs and to look at their own work in terms of what colleges and universities are requiring for admission. This process is repeated each year to allow students to be aware of changes in these requirements. Thinking "outside the box" to create works that will be memorable is the primary goal of this class.
Some skill in drawing and color are recommended for this class. Students can bring prior work to the studio to evaluate their readiness. Though the emphasis is on High School-aged work, skilled Middle School students are also welcome.
* Prerequisites for new students may apply. Ask instructor before registering.
Tuition: $175 for a two month session.
After pressing register, you will be taken to Paypal to submit your registration deposit.
