The class prepares students for more focused course studies by providing them with the fundamental skills necessary to succeed. This is a recommended starting out point for a middle school student.

This course is based on using observation of objects and figures to create drawings. Gain indispensable skills that are the base for all other art forms. It is good for high school students looking to build portfolios.

This program is beneficial to students of all skill levels. It not only develops the student’s skills with the medium but also heavily emphasizes the application of color theory to each project. Experimental and classic use of chalk pastels are what this class is based upon.

Learn multiple printmaking techniques. Like linoleum cuts, etchings, screen printing and mono-prints. Printmaking is a very old art form but in this class use 21st century aesthetics and sensibilities to create modern pieces. Also elements of mixed media are incorporated into the curriculum.

The computer is now your brush, pencil, pallet, and canvas. Use new technology to create new forms of art. In this course study Adobe programs Photoshop and Illustrator and master the skills need to navigate your way through the programs in order to be able to create successful finished pieces.
A $40 lab fee will be added for every session.
The course begins by teaching the fundamentals of line, form and shape then introduces more complex concepts of composition texture and more. As skills develop students create finished art work as a means of introducing the more creative aspects of drawing. Students are introduced to the work of contemporary and historically relevant arts in developing their own vision.
The watercolor curriculum is broken down into concrete skills development. Basics from material use to control of the paint and brush work are all taught. Wet into wet, dry brush, specially prepared surface and special effects are all brought into play as the students learn to let the medium do the work to create desired effects.
