November is the unofficial start of the winter holiday season, and though we have a few more weeks until the true start of winter, once Thanksgiving arrives everyone is in the mood for holiday festivities.
Art plays a huge role in the joy we experience during this time of year, as most cultures see the holiday season as a time for giving and spreading the love. November is also fun because kids can enjoy a small break from school, and many parents take vacation time to be with their children.
The Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts is honoring the beginning of the winter holiday season with two new November break workshops designed to get the artistic energies flowing.
Our Colored Pencil Workshop is scheduled for Black Friday, Nov. 27 and runs from 10 a.m. to noon. This session is open to teens and adults, and offers artists, would-be artists and enthusiasts a opportunity to find out what colored pencils can do in a creative and experimental workshop setting. We guarantee you that they can add much more to your artwork than you think. The fee to participate is $30, with a $10 materials fee. Register today and come explore the creative world of colored pencils.
The second session, our Card Making Workshop, is a perfect class for the upcoming season. Kids and teens are welcomed to join us at the studio from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 27 to create handmade greeting cards for the holidays. The beauty of handmade greeting cards lies in the ability to make them as personal as you’d like, and to add special sentiments that truly shows your family and friends how much they are appreciated. The class fee is $25 and materials fee is $10. Kids and teens can join us and allow their imaginations to run free while creating holiday cards for those they cherish.
We greatly look forward to kids, teens and adults, joining our November Break workshops to learn a few new artistic tricks that are guaranteed to get everyone in the holiday spirit. For more information or to register, contact us today!
