STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
Jody Steidel
ARTIST”S STATEMENT
“I am fascinated by color and light, and the idea that ordinary things, when grouped together, can create something extraordinary. My love for drawing and illustration began when I was a very young child, but grew into a full blown passion when I had my own children and was introduced to the vibrant chaos of parenthood.
When I am not creating visual art, my work as an elementary school music teacher gives me opportunity to paint with sounds. Just as with drawing and painting, I like to organize childlike joy, energy, and impulsivity and into a beautiful and unified experience.”
