Batik is a lost wax method of dying in which multiple layers of cold water dyes are used to create beautiful designs. We will experiment which this dye method to create works of wearable art. Materials fee is $25.
This is a 3 hour class with the hope that you will be able to make a book within each class. The books will be experimental, unique and a work of fine art. Make paper and create a book from scratch. Materials fee $20. A 6 week course.
The class allows students to pursue painting interests in watercolor, oils or acrylics along side other students working in these mediums. Pick your interest then begin the curriculum-based lessons designed to increase your skills. Should you become interested in another medium you can switch while preserving your place in the class. Students bring their own supplies.

Drop In classes require a minimum of 4 weeks, maximum of 6 weeks. Choose your days within the summer. Students bring in their own supplies. Runs from July 7th - August 18th.
Students experiment with various types of textile design techniques including marbling, silk painting, and wax resists to create original and very creative works of wearable or framable art. Materials fee is $20.
This program is beneficial to students of all skill levels. It not only develops the student’s skills with the medium but also heavily emphasizes the application of color theory to each project. Experimental and classic use of chalk pastels are what this class is based upon. Materials fee is $20or bring your own supplies.

The watercolor curriculum is broken down into concrete skills development. Basics from material use, control of the paint and brush work are all taught. Wet into wet, dry brush, specially prepared surface and special effects are all brought into play as the students learn to let the medium do the work to create the desired effects. Students bring in their own supplies or $30 materials fee.
