The watercolor class curriculum, near Franklin MA, is broken down into concrete skills development. Basics from material use, control of the paint and brush work are all taught. Wet into wet, dry brush, specially prepared surface and special effects are all brought into play as the students learn to let the medium do the work to create the desired effects.
For adults looking to begin watercolor painting or for those looking to expand and further their skills, Hunakai Studio of Fine Arts offers this great water color class for all skill levels.
Offered in two-hour sessions, these classes introduce students to the fundamentals of watercolor, including material selection, brush skills and paint and color theory. Participants in this class will receive a comprehensive education in the art of watercolor painting, and will train on both dry and wet brush methods of adding color and depth to their artworks.
Students of the class will also study the works of other studio artists and contemporary painters to help identify their styles and areas of interest, while still being afforded ample opportunities to develop and express their own artistic passions.
Please note: Monday’s class is considered more advanced.
